Our doctor uses the Thermage radio frequency device to tighten drooping skin on the face, neck and other areas of the body. Radio frequency energy uniformly heats the deeper tissues of the skin causing the skin to contract and tighten along the neck, cheeks and forehead. This shrinkage can potentially lift loose facial and neck skin, the arch of the eyebrow, and diminish hooded eyelids.

This treatment is especially unique because it's a low-risk, no-downtime procedure. Over a period of 1-6 months, you get the effects of a "mini facelift."

Is Thermage treatment painful?

Our first goal is to make you comfortable! The doctor prescribes a lidocaine based cream to be applied to the skin one hour prior to treatment. This anesthetic cream can be used in combination with other oral medications at the request of the patient. You will feel the sensation of heat during treatment but this lasts for only a few seconds.

How safe is it?

Thermage treatment is quite safe. The manufacturers of the machine put extensive research into safety issues and thermage is FDA approved for the treatment of facial wrinkles.

When will I see results?

Some patients experience positive results within a few days but most see gradual changes over a 4-6 month period. We take before and after pictures to help you see those changes!

How will I look after treatment?

You will probably experience some redness but that disappears in about an hour. Normal activities can be immediately resumed.
